What is shiatsu?
Shiatsu is Japanese for “Finger pressure” , it is a type of alternative medicine consisting of finger and palm pressure and other massage techniques. Shiatsu frees tensions and strengthens weaknesses to restore the body’s equilibrium. By releasing toxins from the muscles and nervous system and stimulating the circulation, hormone and immune systems, it enhances resistance to ill health. Receiving a treatment can feel like a combination of massage, yoga and meditation. Shiatsu helps you to relax deeply and become more aware of your own body — you can discover where you are holding tension and learn how to cope with stress.

Mobile massage
A Mobile Massage is one that takes place in your own home or hotel. Miyuki will bring a massage table, fresh linens and oil. The client will only need to have an open space, at least 8ft × 6ft in an area where they are comfortable being treated. You might also like to make sure that the room is warm and if you have any music that you love and helps you relax, do feel free to have this.
About me
I have sufferd from a stiff neck for many years, then I learned Shiatsu to improve it. I trained and qualified as a Shiatsu massage at Japan Body Therapist school in Tokyo. I also trained and qualified as a Professional Thai massage and Aroma Therapy Massage at Ong’s Thai massage school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I have worked at relaxation salons in Japan and New Zealand. I would like to help people, just like you, to deal with the stresses which are part of all of our lives in this fast paced, modern world. Stress can stem from a wide range of sources including work, family, health issues or even just everyday living.
